I have to make some progress this weekend. We purchased a new couch and last weekend I guilted some friends into helping me pull up all of the baseboard and carpet tack strip in the basement. I have a lot on my plate these days and I feel like the basement is going to quickly fall behind. The problem with the work we've done so far is that this left me with a lot of damaged concrete and no baseboards. I need to come up with a solution to smooth out the floor and then figure out how and what kind of epoxy flooring I am going to install.
In addition to the floor, we cut some "test holes" in the walls last week to gauge the moisture issues. Everything is dry and there is no discernible mold anywhere. Things are smelling pretty good too. I should also get to the walls, patch them up and prime them. Likely a new paint color too. It might also be a good idea to see if I can find a local kid that wants to make some extra dough by helping me paint the place and re-install the trim. Heck, maybe I'll get lucky and they'll want to help with the floor too.
I don't have a vision for the basement yet, just fragmented ideas and color choices. I think I blew all of my "vision" for the year on the pergola and am still pretty exhausted from the cleanup. Hopefully something will come to me as I start working.

Maybe you could use floor leveling compound to fill the damage in the concrete.
