The front yard is looking good this year, despite all of the hot weather and lack of water. That isn't the most exciting thing going on at the Tiny Bungalow though. Check out my neighbor's house. Not sure if you ever noticed but you could never see their house before because it was covered in front by several ancient evergreens. Two nights ago, they started coming down and it really opens up the front yards of all of our houses. It makes our front yard feel more prairie-like as well. It will be interesting to see how they plan on landscaping. They've done a nice job on their back yard so hopefully they follow suit up front.
The front yard is a minor bird and butterfly haven at the moment. Our goldfinches are back and there are several types of butterflies hanging around. We have a bunny up there too and last night, a possum decided to wander the paths through the flowers. I'll have to try and get some pics of all of these critters. I am amazed to see all this activity in a lot that's only thirty five feet wide.
